Traditionally, moulding sanders have been very expensive, even though they perform a simple task. We have recently developed a "Build-Your-Own" moulding sanding system by using a custom made arbor, along with our sanding mop sheets. The sanding mops are stacked onto the shaft to create an 8" moulding sander head. The "head" can then be built into a sanding table of which we provide the plan. Anyone who has ever used a sanding mop will know how well this system works.

The Moulding Sander
Each moulding sander head comes preassembled. One half of the sander is 120 grit for aggressive sanding and the other half is 220g for finishing sanding. As well as the sanding head, the kit comes complete with two 5/8" bearings, 3' linkbelt, 2 balanced pulleys (2.2" x 5/8" and 3" x 5/8") for a 1/2 hp 1750 rpm motor (not included), and a plan on how to build a moulding sander. Replacement parts available.

New! We now sell Moulding Sander kits with 120g, 180g, and 220g selections, where it comes with either a 120g head, a 180g head and a 220g head.

The Moulding Sander Bracket Assembly

The Moulding Sander Bracket Assembly makes the assembly much simpler. The height adjustment is just a matter of loosening a knob and moving the Moulding Sander up and down. The Kit comes with all the knobs and bolts, and all you will need is a motor, the Moulding Sander head, a switch and plug, and a 12" x 24" piece of plywood.
